1. Preparing Mining Equipment and Environment
Currently, ALEO only supports mining with ASIC devices
2. Registering a WhalePool Account
ALEO mining requires logging in with an account name, so you need to register to obtain one.
Visit the official WhalePool website and follow the instructions to complete registration. After logging into your account, go to the "Mining Account" section and copy your account name to configure mining parameters.
Once mining begins, mining earnings will be automatically accumulated in your mining account. After binding a wallet, you can receive payouts.
2. Set mining parameters
Enter the miner's IP address in your browser's address bar to access the miner's backend, or use the official batch management software provided by the miner to configure the following settings:
WhalePool / URL: stratum+tcp://aleo.asia1.whalepool.com:42343
User / Worker:Account name. Miner number ( This should be the WhalePool account name you set during registration, not your wallet address or email. The account name and worker name are separated by a period " . ". The worker name must be between 6-15 characters, using lowercase letters or numbers, and must start with a letter.)
Password:Set any password,(e.g., 123)
After verifying that the information is correct, save the settings. Within a short time, the miner will begin operation, and you can start earning rewards.

4. Obtain and Bind a Wallet Address (Staking Process)
WhalePool has fully implemented the ALEO staking mining mechanism. Users must complete wallet address binding and perform staking operations through their wallet to obtain valid computing power and profits. Currently, only the official Aleo plugin wallet, LEO Wallet, is supported. The specific staking operation process is as follows:
Step 1: Access the Staking Mining Interface:
Log in to the WhalePool official website, click on the "Staking Mining" menu at the top, then select "Participate in Staking." The system will redirect to the Easystaking platform (supporting decentralized operations).
Step 2: Connect Wallet:
On the Easystaking page, click "Connect Wallet" and select the LEO Wallet, which supports ALEO, to establish a connection.
⚠️ Please ensure that the wallet address used for staking is the same as the one used for connecting the mining machine; otherwise, computing power and profit distribution cannot be correctly identified.
The platform supports both anonymous and registered users to participate in staking operations via their wallets.
Step 3: Complete Staking and Start Mining
After successfully staking ALEO tokens, the platform will confirm the transaction on-chain and complete the binding of computing power, automatically initiating staking mining.
The system will allocate corresponding computing power based on the staked amount and begin generating mining profits.
⚠️ Note: When confirming the stake, ensure to verify the official WhalePool staking contract information: 【 whalepool_easystaking_v1.aleo 】Click to view.
Step 4: Unstake
If you no longer wish to participate in mining, click the "Unstake" button in the top right corner of the staking page. Upon confirmation, the system will enter a waiting period of approximately 360 blocks (actual time depends on the block generation speed).
After the waiting period ends, manually click "Redeem" to have the ALEO tokens returned to the original wallet address.
Unstaking Time: UTC 00:00 – 12:00
Redemption Time: UTC 12:00 – 24:00
You can check the status and progress on the Easystaking platform page.
5. Mining machine monitoring and income viewing
Once the machine has run for a while and submitted data to the pool, you can check the status of the miner and your earnings. Go to the WhalePool website, Select the corresponding mining account and cryptocurrency at the top navigation to view the status of mining machines and earnings.
You can also use the WhalePool App (download here), log in, and switch the earnings panel to ALEO to view the details.
